Dyersburg, Tenn. — Sept. 14, 2011 — Electric Research and Manufacturing Cooperative (ERMCO), a wholly owned subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives,
Inc. (AECI), Little Rock, Arkansas recently delivered the 4 millionth transformer produced to WIN Energy REMC of Vincennes, Ind.

“ERMCO has become one of the largest producers of distribution transformers and components in the United States,” said Bill Reffert, president and CEO of ERMCO. “We
operate under the cooperative business model and provide our customers with a level of service most equate to being a cooperative member.”

ERMCO began production of single phase pole mount transformers in 1972. The company currently produces pole mount, three-phase pad mount and transformer
components in 450,000 sq. ft. of production space. All products are proudly made in the United States.

ERMCO (Electric Research and Manufacturing Cooperative), a subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc., manufactures single-phase and three-phase electrical
transformers from its headquarters facility in Dyersburg, Tenn. and transformer components in its Greeneville, Tenn. location. The Dyersburg facility is certified to the ISO-9001:2000 Quality Standard.

Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc., a statewide service organization representing the 17 electric cooperatives in the state of Arkansas, was incorporated in 1942. The Arkansas cooperatives provide electricity to more than 500,000 members, or customers, in Arkansas and surrounding states.
