STEM Education Programs
Arkansas’ electric vehicle program was one of the longest-running technology education programs in the electric cooperative nation. The event began in 2003 and the final rally was held in 2017.
“We will work with the programs to try and get teams in all 75 Arkansas counties and host regional competitions within Arkansas to provide students with maximum exposure to science, math and technology,” said Rob Roedel, director of corporate communications for the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.

The Seaperch underwater robotics program equips teachers and students with the resources to build an underwater remotely operated vehicle. The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas partnering with Arkansas 4-H to sponsor teams across Arkansas and an annual statewide competition.Â

The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas will sponsor the Arkansas State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 5, 2022. The Arkansas winner will proceed to The Scripps National Spelling Bee, the nation’s largest and longest-running educational program.
