Details

Helena Harbor is under new leadership with new infrastructure improvements planned for 2015. The slack-water harbor has a 2 1/4 mile long channel that is 300 feet wide and is served by a 60 ton bridge crane. Fiber Optic Broadband from AT&T is scheduled to be added in mid-2015. A new rail spur is currently under construction. Initial planning is now underway to build a 500,000 gallon water tank on site. The property is bounded by farmland to the north, the Mississippi River to the east and south, and by State Highway 20 to the west. The site is owned by the Helena-West Helena/Phillips County Port Authority.

Only 200 of the 4,000 acres in the 100 year floodplain.

The site is primarily flat with elevations from 175 to 180 feet MSL. Load-bearing characteristics of the soil are from 1,000 to 2,000 PSF.
